Your responsibility no longer stops at your walls. The CSDDD extends it to your entire value chain.

Due diligence pillars
The CSDDD (Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive) — sometimes called CS3D — requires large European companies to conduct structured due diligence across their entire value chain. The goal: prevent and mitigate negative impacts on human rights and the environment, including at suppliers and business partners.
Unlike the French Duty of Vigilance law (2017), which was limited to very large companies, the CSDDD significantly broadens the scope and clarifies obligations. It imposes a continuous, documented, and auditable due diligence process.
For affected organizations, the challenge is clear: how do you assess human rights and environmental risks across hundreds or even thousands of suppliers? This is exactly what Conitiv enables with automated CSR scoring, due diligence questionnaires, and criticality-based segmentation.
What the CSDDD requires
Due diligence policy
Adoption of a formal due diligence policy, validated at management level.
Risk mapping
Identification of potential impacts on human rights and the environment across your value chain.
Prevention and mitigation measures
Concrete actions to reduce identified risks, proportionate to their severity.
Grievance mechanism
A system enabling stakeholders to report violations.
Monitoring and reporting
Regular assessment of measure effectiveness, information publication.
The real challenge: assessing your suppliers and partners
The CSDDD requires assessing human rights and environmental risks across your value chain. This means: identifying at-risk suppliers, evaluating the severity of potential impacts, implementing prevention measures, and tracking their effectiveness over time.
employees — application threshold
For an organization working with hundreds of suppliers, this is a considerable operational challenge. How do you prioritize? How do you collect the necessary information? How do you document your approach in an enforceable way?
Conitiv offers a tiered approach: automated CSR scoring for all your third parties (risk identification), targeted due diligence questionnaires for critical suppliers, and evidence-based audits for the most sensitive cases. All centralized and traceable.

The French law of 2017 applies only to companies with more than 5,000 employees in France (or 10,000 worldwide). The CSDDD broadens the scope, clarifies obligations, and harmonizes requirements at European level. It also creates an administrative supervision and sanctions mechanism.
The CSDDD applies to companies with more than 1,000 employees and €450M in net revenue. It also affects non-European companies with significant revenue in the EU. Even if you are not directly affected, your clients or principals may be — and they will ask you for evidence of due diligence.
Yes. The Conitiv Impact Rating covers 80 ESG criteria across 4 pillars, including human rights and working conditions. The scoring automatically identifies at-risk third parties on these dimensions, enabling targeted in-depth assessments.
